But none of the others ever used the iCloud setup for a separate domain for email. None of the other IMAP accounts I have in mail do this. I'm betting some variable didn't get cleared when I deleted the iCloud instance of the account. This seems like some sort of bug either in the mail client or on the iCloud server side. The symptoms seem to me like somewhere on mail client thinks the original account in iCloud is still there and is trying to put a copy of the message in the cloud. I made sure I deleted the ALL the iCloud TXT records on the Domain Registrar, so that's not the problem either. I have deleted that email account and domain reference on iCloud.
